The Mackhydes Story

Hello! We're Reagan and Ronnie Mackay, the passionate duo behind Mackhydes—a charming farm in Missouri where sustainability and tradition blend seamlessly with modern homesteading.

Our tale begins with deep family roots. I (Reagan) grew up on a family farm where my grandparents were not only my neighbors, but also my mentors and greatest inspirations. My grandfather introduced me to horseback riding at the age of two, and by three, I was completely captivated. My grandmother taught me the importance of nurturing the land and its creatures—she believed in providing the best life possible for everything, from livestock and crops to the soil itself. That valuable lesson has remained with me.

Now, my husband, Ronnie, and I are dedicated to building upon those cherished values. From cultivating heirloom produce and crafting all-natural skincare products to embracing homesteading practices like sourdough baking and food preservation, Mackhydes embodies the essence of simple living.

But our mission extends beyond us. We’ve observed a growing curiosity among people about the origins of their ingredients and how to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. Much like the diligent honeybee, we aim to spread ideas, sharing our insights on sustainable living so others can flourish alongside us. Our goal is to create products and experiences that are beneficial for both the earth and you.
